Can’t find namespace or class in WPF designer

Often when you want to use some your own classes or controls, WPF designer says that namespace or class can’t be found. Sometimes, if the project is not built, WPF designer definitly can’t find these classes. However, after I built again and again. there was still errors. Finially, I got the anwser: Build clean first. It seems that WPF designer are using binaires in obj folder. Hope it helpful for you in such situation.

One Response to Can’t find namespace or class in WPF designer

  1. Wouter Vos says:

This stuff is driving me crazy! Even weirder is when the intellisense does recognize the correct class but the error checker not… Tried to remove the bin/Debug folder contents when it said the file was in use. It must be using the binary for something and not updating it sometimes, very bad. Closing vs2012 and deleting the bin/Debug contents actually fixed my problem.
